AirBaltic Doubles Down on Airbus A220 Fleet
New A220-300 Aircraft Offers Enhanced Passenger Experience
Wider Seats, Larger Windows, and More Hand Luggage Capacity
AirBaltic Corp AS is doubling down on its all-Airbus SE A220 fleet with the announcement that it has opted for ten more A220-300 aircraft following its original order during the Paris Air Show last year. This latest order brings the airline's total number of A220s on order to 50, making it one of the largest A220 operators in the world.
The A220-300 is the larger variant of the A220 family, with a capacity of up to 145 passengers. The aircraft is designed for short- and medium-haul routes and offers a number of benefits for passengers, including wider seats, larger windows, and more hand luggage capacity.
AirBaltic has already taken delivery of 48 A220s and has been very pleased with the aircraft's performance. The airline says that the A220 has helped it to reduce its operating costs and improve its on-time performance.
The new A220-300 aircraft will be delivered to AirBaltic starting in 2023. The airline plans to use the aircraft on routes throughout its network, including flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, and Frankfurt.
AirBaltic's decision to double down on the A220 family is a strong endorsement of the aircraft's capabilities. The A220 is a modern, efficient aircraft that offers passengers a comfortable and enjoyable flying experience.
